The Regulatory Operations Technology team is a highly technical and agile group that is tasked with a key role of providing first-class technology solution that is scalable and reliable to ensure the firm's regulatory obligations are met, which is essential to enable continued growth of our business in fast changing environment.
Your impact will be in providing innovative solutions to many technically challenging problems, from providing big data solution to tap into all of our core business flows to enabling real-time reporting to external regulators for high volume trading activities. You will be working closely with key business stakeholders across multiple product lines and will be expected to be an expert of both the system(s), and the business domain.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Operations Division is the engine room that powers Goldman Sachs, and Operations Technology is driving their industrialization through automation, digitization and orchestration
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
You will be working closely with our regulatory operations team to define and refine our regulatory requirements, and to build technical solutions around them. Through this process, you will gain a strong expert understanding of the business, the various systems across all asset-classes, and will have the opportunity to work on the state of the art platforms that we are developing in GS.
As a technology group, we have a strong culture of owning what we build, from end to end. You will therefore have a fully hands-on opportunity to learn the entire lifecycle of our software products, from development, to deployment, to interacting with our users to troubleshoot issues.
- 1+ experience with Java
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Experience with test-driven development and associated tools
- Expertise with SQL
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and distributed algorithms, and designing for performance and resiliency
- Experience of managing complexity in software
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Openness for acquiring new skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of finance industry
- Knowledge of Japan and Hong Kong Financial Reporting
- Experience with web development (eg. ReactJS)
- Experience in leading and managing end to end projects in an agile team with multiple global stakeholders
