RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Responsibilities:
  • Help install comprehensive Governance framework across Risk organization (1st line of defense) for a key product line within Marcus by Goldman Sachs
  • Be the face of the Risk organization for internal and external audits/exams. Drive the communication flow, lead the preparation and coordinate the audits - all to drive to a successful outcome
  • Detect, research and analyze audit findings, set up mechanisms, work with credit policy & portfolio management for effective resolution
  • Spearhead the transformation of a modern control framework that maximizes efficiency and adherence by leveraging new-age technology, vendors, and partners, and by setting up automated processes
  • Set up documentation standards
  • Coordinate with policy owners to maintain and archive policies, procedures, reports and other information in support of credit governance, internal controls, information security, audit and regulatory examinations.
  • Evaluate and help manage vendors/data providers for incremental value in credit management strategies in a continuous improvement environment
  • Keep up to date with applicable regulations and compliance requirements with possible interactions with internal and external regulators

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working for a financial services company in risk management, compliance, audit, operations or similar function
  • Experience building, improving, or analyzing risk management in a digital consumer or small business lending context
  • Superior Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Functional knowledge of consumer loan processing systems
  • Managing several projects simultaneously and driving end-to-end project delivery
  • Strong knowledge of consumer ending regulations, credit policy and risk principles
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to articulate complex ideas, express and defend a point of view and influence outcomes

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree (U.S. or equivalent).
  • Experience using SAS, R, Python (or similar) for statistical analysis
  • Experience with credit decisioning and other workflow management systems
