BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW This is an opportunity to work in the Compliance team that provides dedicated enterprise wide Compliance support reporting into the London based Executive Director/Senior Compliance Officer responsible for leading the global vendor management compliance programme. The Vendor management compliance programme is focussed on ensuring a consistent enterprise wide understanding of the compliance risks associated with the use of service providers and to enhance the programme�s risk and control focus via the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of key vendor risks in order to appropriately calibrate risk based decision making. The role is very broad in nature, and the successful candidate should be able to work in a dynamic, multi-dimensional business and be able to deliver advisory and challenge functions across the enterprise. The role requires the ability to deal with time sensitive issues as well as daily obligations and project workload. RESPONSIBILITIES � Work alongside stakeholders and risk partners to enhance the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of key vendor risks in order to appropriately calibrate risk based decision making � Provide day-to-day advisory and challenge functions across the enterprise regarding the policies and regulations applicable to the firm's vendor management programme � Review regulatory developments and reforms to ensure that the firm�s programme remains fit for role � Help develop relevant policies, procedures and training materials � Help deliver training as part of ongoing firmwide training programs � Provide input and oversight on various project initiatives requiring Vendor Management Compliance input/ownershipRESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS� Degree level � At least 3 years� experience working in a Risk, Control and/or Compliance function � Knowledge and practical application of the following domains will be key (i.e. in order to calibrate risk based decision making): � General Systems & Controls governance and practices � Financial services risk management and practices � Outsourcing/Vendor risk management and governance requirements � Firmwide vendor management programme and associated policies � Interest in the operational aspects of financial markets and a willingness to monitor the ever changing regulatory landscape (global and multi-jurisdictional) � Pro-active, self-motivated and well organized � Strong communication and influencing skills (written and verbal) coupled with an ability to provide an independent challenge function within business decision making cycles � Ability to work independently, within a team and/or task force framework � Very strong attention to detail � Proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving � Flexibility and ability to multi-task whilst retaining a strong control focusABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS
