Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Duties: Associate-Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Develop, monitor and deploy a global electronic listed derivatives market making system. Responsibilities include: Observe market phenomena to develop concrete and demonstrably profitable strategies using complex mathematical and statistical techniques. Deploy these strategies using highly complex algorithms in a live trading environment, and to monitor the strategies' ongoing performance for continued profitability. Responsible for the risk-management of a large book of hundreds of thousands of options, futures and stock and ETF positions; the pricing and execution of complex derivatives strategies; interacting with brokers; managing, evaluating and systematizing the financial risk of the portfolio.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative financial position. Prior work experience must include: Experience with U.S. financial market structures including (order book mechanics) in stocks and ETFs on the major U.S. equity venues; Experience with futures and fixed income products; Experience with the development, deployment and operation of an execution management system/order management system for equities trading and sales trading; Experience with financial information eXchange (FIX) or binary protocols for communications with exchanges; knowledge of order types and execution styles; Experience with structured UAT, quality assurance procedures, performing and providing testing scenarios, issue tracking tools such as JIRA; Experience with trading environments in developed and emerging markets; Experience working with a global team and/or having global exposure where remote communication is required, in order to liaise with traders, sales people, developers and business management professionals across regions; Knowledge of financial risk management, VaR, margin requirements; Knowledge of derivative pricing including Black-Scholes, dynamic hedging, gamma-trading, complex options strategies hedging; Knowledge of derivative trading, hedging and risk management methodology; Experience in generating, presenting and defending trading ideas in derivative products to traders and sales; Experience with the manipulation and transformation of large data sets; Experience in SQL, VBA or other data-manipulation and aggregation languages and scripting languages; Using Bloomberg terminal. FINRA Series 7, 63 and 55 eligibility required.
