Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Duties: Associate-Intermediate/VP with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Work on a team to ensure efficient configuration of new and existing clients to trade with the Firm's trading desk and resolution of queries received on the trades from the Firm's trading, compliance, technology, strategists and operations teams, as well as external clients and counterparties. Responsibilities include: Interface with, and understand all facets of the Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) franchise to serve as the centralized point of contact for operational inquiries. Drive thoughtful leadership on developing the Firm's technology and operating infrastructure. Communicate with clients and stakeholders, across different business units including traders, operations, controllers and technology, to discuss project scope, approach, risk mitigation and implementation plans. Partner with the Operations Client Experience (OCE) and the Clearing Client Service (CCS) teams for functional consistency and to drive client service. Identify risks and inefficiencies in daily business processes and drive initiatives to mitigate those risks and improve processes. Use of business analysis and process improvement methodologies to perform root cause analysis on core business problems and recommend and implement solutions that increase operational efficiency and drive industrialization of key pieces of the trade flow. Identify root cause analysis on client's operational allocation and trade processing (booking/amendments/settlements/fails) exceptions and inefficiencies. Develop business requirements documents and translate those requirements into project deliverables and measures of success. Assist in the development and execution of test plans; coordinate testing, signoff, and user training associated with new system flows. Assist with the coordination and analysis of internal New Product Memos.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Business, Finance or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related financial services position. Prior work experience must include: Utilizing project management skills to liaise with technology groups to initiate, communicate, develop and test requirements to effectively implement projects related to business changes or regulatory requirements; Analyzing large data sets to extract data patterns and help drive strategy; Utilizing knowledge of asset management as well as financial instruments including ETFs, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and cash products to implement complex account events and to translate business requirements into technical specifications; Utilizing understanding of the trade lifecycle, from order and execution management, allocation, confirmation and fail management; Organizing and tracking multiple threads of activity, ability to deliver on tight timelines, and resolving issues; Utilizing knowledge of financial industry products such as margin, swaps, hedge funds and regulations such as US 40Act, UCITs, ERISA; Utilizing knowledge of Market Wire and FIX messaging protocol; Utilizing client service skills in a demanding and fast-paced asset management environment to ensure client requirements are understood and implemented effectively; Identifying risks and inefficiencies in daily business processes and driving initiatives to mitigate those risks and improve processes and review and enhance operations processes and controls to ensure effective oversight and risk management; Using Project Management methodologies including life cycle and critical path management concepts to drive complex, large scale system and process re-engineering projects; Managing global large scale user acceptance tests across multiple regions; Experience developing measurement tools, such as metrics, Key Performance Indicators, and financial models; Understanding of financial reforms such as Dodd Frank to ensure compliance with regulation and policy.
