Associate-Intermediate/Vice President - TECH1317NGEP

Duties: Associate-Intermediate/Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Develop code to maintain, modify, and extend the functionality of the Firm’s strategic reconciliation platform. Responsible for the software development lifecycle for the platform and planning and conducting releases. Organize and lead meetings to gather requirements and feedback from users. Develop test plans and test scenarios and implement and coordinate unit, acceptance and integration testing. Engage in production support of the platform, responding to system, users and tech ops alerts, investigating run time issues, and coming up with long term solutions to issues. Analyze data profiles and patterns and define correlation parameters for reconciliation data sets, estimating quality of match algorithms and helping determine break root causes. Work with other technology teams within the Firm to onboard and train them on integrating their flows with reconciliation platform.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Will accept single degree or any combination of degrees and/or professional experience that are equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Core Java; developing highly-performant, concurrent software deployed in distributed environments; development experience with relational databases, such as DB2 or Sybase. Must have experience with: Knowledge of Java 7 and/or Java 8, Java tools and frameworks-Spring Framework or other Dependency Injection frameworks, ORM tools, caching frameworks; trade flows, market infrastructure and financial products in the context of a broker/dealer; working in a highly geographically distributed global team; performance tuning, including profiling JVM threads, CPU utilization, memory usage, SQL execution plans to identify performance bottlenecks; testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, EasyMock, Mockito and familiarity with testing methodologies; Object Oriented analysis and design methodologies; Software Development Lifecycle, release management and continued integration tools such as TeamCity, Hudson, and Jenkins.
