Associate-Intermediate/Vice President - TECH1317MSLCA

Duties: Associate-Intermediate/Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Act as Information Technology Project Manager for a global technology team that builds and supports software applications for the Firm’s Control Room Compliance business unit. Manage a global team of technologists through complete software development lifecycle and manage day-to-day activities related to the support of our clients and maintenance of our applications. Concurrently manage and execute several development projects: develop project plans, identify key milestones, and coordinate implementation and deployment. Lead design sessions with developers and technical architects; contribute to quality of project delivery by overseeing development, testing and implementation process. Collaborate with Compliance stakeholders on business application enhancements: discuss requirements; leverage knowledge of financial business fundamentals and systems to recommend technology solutions; provide periodic project status updates during execution. Define the roles & responsibilities of team members staffed on the projects and coordinate and budget their activities.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: both front end and server side Software Design, Development and Maintenance for global distributed platforms; writing complex queries using SQL for relational databases for both UDB & Sybase; development experience with Java, Perl & Bash; coordinating and managing Software Development Life Cycle processes involving global teams. Must have five (5) years of experience with: building and maintaining software applications supporting Control Room Compliance controls in an investment bank in team management as well as technical hands-on development capacity; managing client requirements, client interaction and technical business analysis to provide solutions in an investment bank; Technology Project Management and Resource Budget Planning in an investment bank; directing global team of five (5) or more technologists. Must have four (4) years of experience developing and managing projects with Agile development methodology.
