Duties: Associate-Intermediate-Research/VP with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Lead the development of a client-facing electronic market making product for U.S. exchange-listed equities and ETFs. Design and implement high-performance trading components in C++. Design market making and risk management algorithms. Perform quantitative analysis. Supervise staff involved in software development and quantitative research. Participate in the sale and distribution of the product, including direct interaction with senior personnel of trading desks of major broker dealers and asset managers.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with Masters OR five (5) years of experience with Bachelors in the job offered or in a related quantitative strategist role in equities markets. Prior work experience must include: Development and production implementation of mission critical software in object oriented programming languages (C++); Software programming for high-performance, low latency and high resiliency distributed architecture systems for equities trading (C++); Production coding of algorithmic execution strategies in an object oriented programming language (C++, Perl); Statistical analysis of large and high-dimensional real time market data datasets (C++); Applying knowledge of equity markets and market microstructure to build execution strategies; Developing production and analytical tools to support client and on exchange market making activity using appropriate scripting languages (Perl).
