Duties: Associate-Intermediate-Research/VP with Goldman, Sachs & Co in New York, NY. Design, implement and maintain real-time automated trading systems including those with strict performance requirements in terms of high availability, fault tolerance, latency and throughput. Primary ownership of the desk’s monitoring and control system. Design, implement and maintain market making and risk management algorithms. Perform quantitative analysis on large amounts of pricing, volume and transaction data. Work closely with desk leadership in setting priorities and creating best practices for the development of desk automated trading systems and related risk and monitoring processes.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with Master’s OR five (5) years of experience with Bachelor’s in the job offered or in a technical role or quantitative position. Prior work experience must include: Development and production implementation of mission critical, low latency software in object oriented programming languages (C++); Experience developing high-availability fault-tolerant distributed systems in Erlang; Software debugging and improvement of legacy C++ based mission critical trading and risk components; Statistical analysis of large and high-dimensional real time market data datasets; Scripting data processing and admin tasks in Perl; Applying knowledge of equity markets and market microstructure to build execution strategies.
