Duties: Associate-Intermediate-Finance/VP with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Drive definition of project objectives, including scope, teams, functions, resourcing levels, systems, technologies and vendors. Perform cross-functional assessments to determine scope of delivery, issue resolutions, integration points with enterprise, cross-functional program plan. Enable project delivery through use of project management best practices and proven methodologies. Drive the strategic vision across functions for new products and business development. Assess the technical implications of functional design decisions and vice versa. Lead the direction of the entire user requirement gathering across multiple functional areas; resolve conflicting requirements and priorities. Leverage business analysis competency to provide clarity on ambiguous situations. Frame complex processes/systems in formats that are easily understandable to technical and non-technical audiences. Define the costs/benefits of a product, platform or technology. Anticipate implementation obstacles when considering solution alternatives; ensure risks are managed, tracked and monitored proactively. Provide options and recommendations on the project implementation plan. Provide stakeholders with consistent and timely communication ensuring transparency to delivery status, issues and risks, throughout entire project lifecycle. Ensure development of testing approach and quality assurance strategies; provide testing specialization; ensure project approach includes testable requirements. Ensure User Acceptance Testing across multiple platforms and multiple functions is conducted and ensure appropriate sign-off.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Management, Technology or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related financial services position. Prior work experience must include: working on projects involving credit and market risk monitoring functions deliverables, working on projects involving enterprise payments platforms and associated workflows, working on projects involving ledger/sub-ledger books and records management and reconciliation controls and workflows; working on projects involving reference data systems, data governance and standards and associated workflows; technical and operational risk and controls implementation efforts; managing large cross functional projects across groups such as technology, finance, legal, compliance and revenue-generating professionals; managing build-out of multi-system processing flows, of various sizes and functional complexity across all stages of a project/program lifecycle from inception to planning and execution to testing to go-live; using Project Management methodologies including life cycle and critical path management concepts to drive complex programs; utilizing knowledge of iterative and waterfall project development processes; conducting global large scale user acceptance tests; implementing effective project governance, including planning and project risk management strategies in projects that span across financial services industries control functions (operations, legal, finance, compliance), business leadership and technology support functions for all of these areas; leading communication with senior sponsors/stakeholders regarding project health, escalating issues and risks, and driving resolution; coordinating reviews across a company to evaluate reputational/operational risks and drive resolution.
