Duties: Associate-Intermediate, VP with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Salt Lake City, UT. Work as an application developer, designer and analyst on a global team responsible for Cash Equity, Listed Derivative and FICC middle office booking functions that are integral to the Firms Private Wealth Management division. Work closely with Technology, Business, and Compliance on the implementation effort of a strategic booking platform using technologies such as Java/DB2/C++, C# and Scala. Work closely with business, operations, compliance, and other federation stake holders on an on-going basis to manage production support, manage expectations and work out detailed scope, design and delivery of their functional tasks. Write software code to support growing business needs to drive scale and improve operational efficiency and new regulatory controls. Responsible for full life cycle of development, from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, Quality Assurance testing and production release. Work on a global software development team and communicate status/design effectively across multiple regions. In addition to longer term projects, also work on production support, enhancements, and critical fixes to support existing suite of production applications and supporting infrastructure.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have at least five (5) years of working experience with Object oriented languages like Java or C++. Must have experience with: C; RDBMS, such as Oracle or Sybase, experience with SQL; strong knowledge and working experience in messaging technologies e.g. EMS or JMS; order and trade management workflow; financial industry and an understanding of middle office trade management flow from a functional perspective; Full Software Development Lifecycle and testing methodologies; and working as part of global development team as our teams are spanned across multiple regions.
