Associate-Finance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate-Finance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Interact with existing and potential clients across various industries including but not limited to Real Estate, Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT) and Natural Resources to understand client's financing needs. Analyze company's financial statements (Quarterly, Annually, Proxy Statements, 8ks) to understand client's operating model, organization structure, company's financial profile, potential operating and financial risks, identify undervalued collateral and potential leveragability of company's assets/long term sale contracts. Interact with rating agencies for rating guidance on structurally complex debt financing deals involving one or combination of different rating agency methodologies. Analyze capital requirements on loans portfolios (across sectors) at various financial institutions and propose Base III compliant hedge solutions to optimize client's balance sheet and provide cheaper alternate sources of capital generation. Interact with senior management across the Firm's Investment Banking and Securities division desks on a daily basis to source new business opportunities, coordinate with cross-divisional teams while executing live projects, incorporating latest market and industry/sector themes in client pitches. Review and comment on complex legal documents including NDAs, Credit Agreements, Offering Memoranda, Indentures, Legal opinions, Guarantee agreement. Coordinate different work streams and supervise junior professionals' work product, including reviewing their financial modeling, internal committee memos, materials for deal roadshows, and presentations prepared for investment banking pitches, live deals, corporate board meetings, client update materials on corporate finance/asset backed finance markets. Attend financing related conferences to meet and interact with existing and potential clients, legal firms and other financial advisors in order to maintain client connectivity and source new business. Supervises two (2) Associates and one (1) Analyst.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering or a related discipline. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in financial services supporting investment banking functions. Prior work experience must include two (2) years: analyzing debt financing transactions in excess of $200 million across industries including but not limited to real estate, technology, media, and telecommunications and consumer industries; conducting comparable company analysis and precedent deal comp analysis, evaluate company's performance under different operating scenarios to understand potential impact on debt instrument performance; analyzing potential losses in deal execution from widening market risk variables such as credit spreads and interest rates for deal memos and analyzing risk/return in executing committed financing deals; managing multiple live work streams and coordinating with various investment banking professionals around complex transactions to ensure seamless completion of deal analysis and related documentation; understanding regulatory capital analysis of both balance sheet loans and unfunded commitments; working with Powerpoint and Excel including detailed logic and finance formulas, data tables, filters, and pivot tables. Travel required.
