Associate, TECH1317SCFE

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Drive various software development processes that support regulatory capital calculation and analysis initiatives. Perform database design, modeling and data warehousing, leveraging tools, such as Informatica, for data across the Firm with a consistent API and programming environment. Implement complex capital calculators leveraging programming languages, such as Java and Scala, with strong object oriented/functional programming concepts, with focus on multi-threading and ability to deal with high volume data sets. Implement analytical/highly formatted reports leveraged for internal management analysis and external regulatory capital reporting using OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition) and Tableau. Implement, enhance, and maintain web applications leveraging html5/javascript. Involve in database performance tuning for DB2 database to manage high frequency/high volume data sets. Manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, UAT and maintenance.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. Three (3) years of experience (if Master’s) in the job offered or a related role or five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor’s) in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: concepts of data modelling and database design for databases, such as DB2 and Sybase IQ; ETL tools, such as Informatica; Software development life cycle-from requirement collection to design, development, testing and migration/maintenance; Java, with strong foundation of object oriented, multi-threading concepts and experience in handling high volume data sets. Must have two (2) years of experience with relational database performance tuning for DB2 database. Must have experience with: developing reporting solutions leveraging tools, such as OBIEE 11g and Tableau; Web based development, using html5 and java script; Scala.
