Associate - TECH1317MPEP

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Work closely with Enterprise Design & Global Efficiencies (EDGE-TBM) team and deliver data analytics, reporting and visualizations solutions by using relational and no-sql technologies. Influence the Technology division’s strategic and operational direction by identifying opportunities in large, rich data sets by creating and implementing data driven strategies that fuel growth including cost savings and expense management. Partner with the Technology Financial Services team to logically model data, create unit tests and implement dashboards and reports using Tableau and OBIEE. Design data architecture and solutions for Business Intelligence (BI) applications and provide appropriate reporting solutions by ensuring compatibility. Mine data located within large sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. Leverage applied mathematics and statistics with analytical and visualization applications to translate, question, analyze and interpret data to reveal relationships, patterns, and trends. Design and implement strategies for managing the Firm’s expense and create KPIs and Scorecards to improve corporate profitability measures and comparative financial analysis across departments. Design, evaluate, and recommend tools and technologies that the team should be using to help solve problems. Actively participate as a member of a global team on larger development projects, assume responsibilities of components of global projects, depending on need. Train and mentor analysts and other associates within the team locally and globally. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies; no knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in related role. Must have cumulative three (3) years of experience with: Tableau and/or OBI 11g report development; development experience in DB2 and/or Oracle. Must have two (2) years of experience with: BI Publisher; development experience OBI 11g Administration and Security. Must have experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for development and project plan estimates, including experience gathering requirements, designing, developing, reviewing, building, testing and deployment of commercial scale software changes.
