Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co.in New York, NY. Work closely with market risk analysts to develop the Firm’s market risk sourcing platform, which is based on the firm’s proprietary framework as well as several vendor-provided relational database technologies. Responsible for full development life cycle, including analysis and requirements gathering, design, development, testing, production release, and ongoing support of the production platform. Work closely with multiple users to gather requirements and form technical specifications to implement user requested changes. Concurrently contribute to the development of multiple active projects. Define project plans and participate in project management activities. Participate in code reviews and work closely other with team members on multi-developer projects. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience (if Master’s) or five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor’s) with: Java or C++; Shell scripting; Data Modeling; Big Data System Design and Development; relational and/or object database development; distributed systems development; developing and testing commercial software; working directly with end users to develop functional requirements; maintaining or enhancing existing systems, where detailed system documentation is not available; working in a collaborative work environment on a multi-site, global development team; providing project status updates to managers and stakeholders, including non-technical end users; working concurrently on multiple development projects.
