Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Work as part of the global Banking Data Services team to independently design, develop and enhance the Investment Banking data platform, which includes warehouse/Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and reporting and visualization workflows. Develop and support existing ETL workflows built around SQL Server, Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, and SSIS. Architect the migration of existing banking ETL tools/workflows to the Firm’s proprietary platform. Help with the formation of governance model and best practices around existing and new banking ETL workflows. Conduct proof of concept and help define the next generation banking ETL tools/workflows and the big data platform. Develop and support reporting platform built around SAP Business Objects. Support all data domains on the Investment Banking Division’s data platform, including deals, clients, vendor market data, and revenues/expenses. Develop and support all market data feeds processing from vendors such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, and CapIQ. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering discipline AND three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering discipline AND five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: designing and developing large scale enterprise data warehouse (>1TB Terabyte and supporting >100 users), including table schemas, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and SQL queries; application deployments on Linux (under Apache and Tomcat) and Windows (under IIS6 and IIS7) servers; a major enterprise RDBMS, e.g. MS SQL-Server, Oracle, Sybase ASE, and columnar data store such as Sybase IQ; designing and developing with Object Oriented programming languages, such as Java, C#, or C++. Must have one (1) year of experience with: at least one enterprise ETL tool, such as Informatica, SSIS, or Pentaho; working on full project development lifecycle, from prototype, design, development, to test, deployment, and support.
