Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Senior technical lead and developer in Prime Services Client Technology, responsible for developing a number of systems across Futures and Prime Brokerage Business. Analyze, enhance, and maintain a complex in-memory reporting system responsible for generating nightly reports for all Institutional clients; analyze, enhance, and maintain a suite of web applications using JAVA, Sybase or DB2 databases with AngularJS/JQuery enabled front end; analyze, enhance, and maintain a suite of reporting applications using Perl, Unix Shell and SQL Scripts; direct small teams through all the stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including providing work estimates and raising critical project issues such as technical/project risks; formulate design and implementation requirements in the system following coding best practices and utilizing Object-Oriented programming and design patterns concepts; engaged in test-driven development using Junit, Easy mock, Power mock, DBunit, Selenium/WebDriver; engage in build and release management using scripting technologies; package and deploy code to a set of UNIX servers across different test and production environments; support the system with business users and communicate ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical users of the system.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics AND three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in related software development role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics AND five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in related software development role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Java/J2EE, including an understanding of advanced topics including multi-threading environment, Java 1.6 or higher, JSP/Servlet, JDBC, Reflections, Generics and collection framework as well as J2EE frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, Struts, DropWizard; SQL, Stored procedures and Sybase or similar relational database; Javascript including ExtJS, AngularJS and JQuery; Linux, including knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands to be able to analyze, maintain and develop server side scripts; design patterns, Object Oriented Programming and Best practices of coding; Java unit testing tools including Junit, Mocking frameworks, DBUnit and Automated Web testing tools, including Selenium/Webdriver; working across the entire SDLC lifecycle of product development, including requirements gathering, Functional and Technical Design, Development; User Acceptance Testing, Release Procedures, Change request analysis, and Production support. Must have one (1) year of experience with Perl. Must have experience in Prime Brokerage, FX, Futures and Derivatives.
