Associate - TECH110216NAFE

Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Design and develop software that comprises the Firm’s Liquidity Risk Management Technology systems. Responsible for all phases of software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, requirements analysis, software development, feature testing, code review, release management and production support management. Interact with internal clients/end users, analyze liquidity risk requirements, understand end user workflows and business processes, and draft functional and technical specifications. Participate in team software design reviews and code reviews. Responsible for managing development projects, including providing work estimates and raising critical technical or project risks.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Information Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Information Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience (with Master’s degree) or five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor’s degree) with: imperative programming language such as Java, C++, or similar; developing and maintaining robust and scalable enterprise systems within the financial industry; all phases of software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, requirements analysis, software development, feature testing, code review, release management and production support management; and SQL/relational databases. Must have experience with: participating in concurrent projects with staff across global issues; working with clients directly in gathering requirements, agreeing on project priorities, and managing feature-delivery expectations; and communicating effectively (in writing and verbally) with staff across a global development team.
