Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Subject Matter Expert in Block/ File/ Object storage technologies, specializing in architecture, design and deployment of storage infrastructure services enabling automation of deployment, providing Storage-as-a-Service, for all Block/File/Object protocols. Develop engineering blueprints to consume new storage products and also develop device modeling to support production rollout for products from different vendors including VMAX-20K, VMAX-3, and VMAX-AFA (FC/iSCSI), HUS 150, VSP-G600 (FC/iSCSI), Pure //m20,50,70 (iSCSI), VNX5700,7600, NetApp FAS3140, 3270, 8040 (7-mode and C-Dot), ECS-U21xx series, Atmos G3 series (for customizable REST-ful API, integration with S3), and Red Hat Gluster (3.x). Act as Subject Matter Expert in Fiber Channel and iSCSI protocols and large scale deployments. Responsible for storage, backup engineering, architecture, operations /administration of a Centralized Infrastructure for over 30 Peta Bytes of Storage comprising EMC, Hitachi, Pure, NetApp, and Red Hat Enterprise Storage technologies. Work closely with Software Development teams to create specifications for automation of new products to deliver zero touch environments using Python, Java, Perl and relevant software technologies. Implement and manage Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) via Jira, Confluence ensuring delivering infrastructure projects to agreed parameters of time, budget, scope and quality. Provide engineering and production support for Block, File, Object storage related technologies, including, but not limited to, Level-3/4 support for Production escalations. Perform troubleshooting across all storage product offerings using tools, not limited to symstat, iostat, Unisphere, INQ, OnCommand, Performance Manager, Tuning Manager. Engage in developing automation tools via REST-ful API calls to multi-vendor storage platforms. Perform microcode certifications for multi-vendor storage arrays and establishing BC/ DR procedures as and when applications / business units change. Create runbooks for new product offerings in support of day-to-day operations.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: 3 EMC/Netapp (FC & iSCSI) storage products; Hitachi (FC & iSCSI) storage products; and performance and capacity management. Must have two (2) years of experience with: all Flash arrays as well as Pure (iSCSI) Storage products. Must have experience with: developing engineering blue prints for storage products; working closely with development teams to create specifications for new product automation to provision and manage storage at scale; interacting directly with clients on a daily basis to actively troubleshoot complex performance issues; architecting products that are highly performant and scalable; partnering with the development team to help develop strategies, define procedures, methodologies and techniques to efficiently perform data migrations within and across datacenter (FC to iSCSI and vice-versa); and cloud deployments as well as Infrastructure-as-service offerings. Certifications required: NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA); EMC Proven Professional – Information Storage Associate (EMCISA); SNIA Certified Storage Engineer (SCSE); SNIA Storage Management, Networking and Administration; and CompTIA Storage+ Certified Engineer.
