Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Jersey City, NJ. Senior developer on a global team that develops Treasury and Payment technology solutions for the Firm. Write, test, debug, and maintain object oriented code using Java, C#, JavaScript, Angular, REST, Fitnesse, SQL, Hibernate, Spring and using Eclipse/IntelliJ and MS Visual Studio IDEs. Design and engineer software solutions that act as interfaces for users, perform systematic controls on transactions, automate testing, integrate technology infrastructure components, and provide automated efficiencies to users. Effectively interpret business or technical requirements from non-technical or semi-technical functional requests. As a member of a global team, responsible for ensuring that peers’ code is efficient and functional through code reviews. Create project plans, identify key milestones, and raise critical project issues such as resource needs. Engage in test-driven development using Junit, Easy mock, Fitnesse, and Selenium. Build and release management using scripting technologies and regression tools.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have experience with: working with Java based technologies such as server-side programming, transactional messaging and web development for business functions related to treasury operations such as cash management, cash controls management and cash settlements; supporting critical Treasury Payment functions for payment distribution, with knowledge of interbank communication, Swift formats, FedWire formats and flows related to the Federal Reserve Bank, ledger flows responsible for the firm’s financial accounting functions; designing database models/structures to address data storage demands for complex systems and working with relational databases utilizing Hibernate and SQL language on both Sybase and UDB database management systems; working with agile software development lifecycle and collaboration tools for task, knowledge and release management, such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Crucible; developing software applications in Java and C#/.Net, JavaScript, REST language and writing automated tests using testing frameworks, such as jUnit, nUnit and FitNesse; using User Experience driven design processes and tools, such as Balsamiq, Visio, Powerpoint; and working closely with users to collect requirements and negotiate solutions.
