Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Responsible for developing a platform architecture for Business Intelligence (BI), including a controls framework, and data services to connect to the Firm’s data. Partner with Securities Division strategists to ensure data required for business decisions can be made available in BI tools and develop connectors as necessary. Interact with vendors, such as Zoomdata and Tableau, to onboard these products, ensure they meet Firm’s needs, are deployed correctly, and feeding back the Firm’s requirements. Create a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process for BI tools, to ensure they meet the Firm’s and regulatory requirements. Participate as part of a global team on large development projects and/or assume responsibility for components of projects, depending on need. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have at least three (3) years of experience with: developing server side and/or user-facing applications; at least one Object-Oriented programming language and web development paradigm, for example Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS3, Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery, and Angular JS. Experience must be in developing applications to an enterprise production level; software development lifecycle as implemented in large enterprises, including ticketing systems, code versioning repositories, code review and release management tools; developing user facing applications and responding to user requests; working with database technologies, specifically Sybase IQ, H2, and MongoDB, and efficiently extracting data from large datasets in these technologies.
