Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Senior developer in the Prime Clearing Operations Technology division responsible for designing, developing and supporting Prime Services business platforms. Collaborate globally with technology, operations, vendor and client teams and mentor junior team members. Responsible for full life cycle of development, from initial analysis and requirements gathering, through design, development, testing and production release, including providing own work estimates and raising critical project issues such as technical/project risks. Demonstrate proficiency in object oriented languages such as Java or C++ and related frameworks, relational databases, messaging, web services and testing. Responsible for support of the Prime Services business platforms via answering of the user inquiries, diagnosing issues and providing immediate solutions to time critical issues. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Information Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Information Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years (if Masters) or five (5) years (if Bachelors) of technical experience with: Object oriented programming: Java, .NET or C++; Enterprise OO frameworks, such as Spring or Boost; Real Time Messaging, such as JMS or EMS; Enterprise Database: Sybase, DB2 or Oracle; Enterprise Job scheduling tools, such as Autosys; Web Services: HTTP, REST and AJAX; System design and documentation; SDLC Tools: SVN and CVS; Build tools, such as Maven, Gradle, or Jenkins; Testing frameworks, such as Junit, TestNG or comparable; and OS: Windows and Linux. Must have three (3) years of financial industry experience including: exposure to fundamentals of financial markets; experience designing and supporting front or middle office systems; and enterprise software development: concurrency and collections idioms, transaction management, correctness and performance testing, distributed system design and implementation.
