Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Responsible for designing, implementing and managing business critical applications which require a thorough understanding of the latest technologies and a deep knowledge of the financial domain. Discuss financial requirements for new business critical applications with the user community and produce project plans to address them. Confer with system analysts, engineers, programmers and senior stakeholders to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Contribute to strategic/technical vision in developing scalable low maintenance infrastructure for P&L and balance sheet accounting. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. Provide production support as the last level of escalation for new and legacy applications. Analyze performance of programs and take necessary actions such as enhancing the code, retiring unused code, introducing parallelism where ever necessary to improve performance or correcting deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor. Provide technical and career guidance to junior developers and work in tandem with them.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, an Engineering discipline, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, an Engineering discipline, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: application development using Core Java and web technologies including AngularJS, Jersey, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Jetty, Dropwizard, Swagger, Jenkins, and NodeJS. Must have experience with: designing solutions to solve complex financial P&L problems using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD); maintaining and supporting legacy applications using C, Java Applets, Java Swing, JSP, and Tomcat; testing frameworks and tools including Junit, Karma, Jasmine, WireMock, JMock, SONAR, PhantomJS, Cucumber and Arquillian; implementation, deployment & testing in a Linux environment; working in large global development teams; and identifying and understanding business requirements & designing solutions to best meet business needs.
