Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, UT.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Provide support to the Firm's over the counter (OTC) Derivative and Repo trading businesses. Responsibilities include: Calculate and issue margin calls and client margin requirements. Provide liquidity to the Firm by re-hypothecation of collateral. Resolve and escalate all client disputes and queries. Calculate interest on collateral held or posted by the Firm for client review and approval. Liaise with the Firm's Credit Risk, Sales, Technology and other operational groups to resolve and reconcile complex business problems. Review and approve of various bookings processed by other team members on the Collateral management team.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline. Will accept 3 or 4 year degree. 2.5 years of experience in the job offered or related position in the financial industry. Prior work experience must include 2.5 years of experience with each of the below: Business analysis & process improvement methodologies to perform root cause analysis on core business problems in collateral management and recommending and implementing solutions that increase operational efficiency and drive industrialization of key pieces of collateral management processes; Risk management experience to identify risks and inefficiencies in daily business processes and drive initiatives to mitigate those risks and improve processes and review and enhance processes and controls to ensure effective oversight and risk management; Utilizing quantitative and analytical skills to identify complex dispute drivers across all OTC derivative products; Utilizing knowledge of settlement processes to research/resolve outstanding client fails including activities and transactions clearing in both local and global markets; Utilizing client service skills to effectively manage client requests and communicate requirements and procedures; Utilizing MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Managing multiple tasks and deliverables and working collaboratively in a team environment; Designing testing documents, executing test scripts, and monitoring production environment roll outs.
