Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Function on a team that acts as a center of change and project management excellence for the Firm's Operations division. Support the delivery of Asset Management Operations projects across all typical project phases: project initiation and scoping, including definition of plans and setting and managing expectations for delivery with project stakeholders; business analysis and requirements definition; and testing and implementation, in particular user acceptance testing. Ongoing project management, including progress monitoring, reporting and quality assurance throughout the project. Build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology and the Business. Understand the firm's and Operations' strategic plans, business, and processes in order to influence design and develop solutions. Assess and streamline processes in order to mitigate risk, cost or service issues and generate efficiencies.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related analytical field including Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics (or one of the new hybrid fields including Econometrics, Mathematical Finance or Financial Engineering). Two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related projected management or consulting role. Prior work experience must include two and a half (2.5) years of experience: project management and business analysis related to regulatory, business process, or technology change, including usage of Waterfall project development methodologies; managing a project through the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); defining business requirements to be consumed by technology for product development; designing testing documents, executing test scripts, and coordinating testing activities, and analyzing post production implementation; using standard Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint to track project status and experience utilizing Pivot tables and V-look ups to manage large datasets; problem solving, process analysis and analytical skills; identifying risks inherent in business process and driving initiatives to design controls to mitigate risk; leveraging core project management principles such as scope, time, quality, documenting proposed benefits, communication and stakeholder management to ensure proper project delivery; utilize business process mapping methodologies and tools for business processing documentation to identify operational inefficiencies and control gaps.
