Associate-Intermediate-Trading/VP with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate-Intermediate-Trading/VP with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Market making in U.S. Treasury securities. Provide liquidity to a variety of clients in a principal manner. Hedge current and new inventory as a result of market making by engaging in the intra-dealer broker market, the futures exchanges or with other clients of the Firm. Perform detailed analysis on securities values past, present and projected in the future. Manage inventory and price new trades on an on-going basis. Track central bank activity and communication and providing detailed analysis and opinions on expected future actions to both our sales force and client base.

Position requirements: Master's degree or Bachelors degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with Masters or five (5) years with Bachelors in the job offered or in a related finance position. Prior work experience must include: Modeling of fixed income securities; Valuing and pricing U.S. Treasury securities with respect to U.S. Treasury futures contracts; Modeling and predicting future action of central banks via deconstructing short rate paths and understanding/tracking central bank communication; Market making of U.S. Treasuries at a sell-side institution; Modeling impact of new economic/political information on value of fixed income securities; Modeling term structure of U.S. Treasury curve; Decomposing risk exposure of fixed income portfolio; Utilizing knowledge of systematic trading strategies and optimization techniques; Deploying creative risk-management frameworks to statically and dynamically hedge positions; Addressing the evolving dynamics of a large portfolio of trades and their hedges through trading; Interfacing with clients to assist in implementation of specific risk management intentions. FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required. Travel required.
