Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Provide direct sales and trading coverage to financially sophisticated high-net-worth individuals, single and multi-family offices, and select institutional clients across global markets and asset classes. Generate trade ideas via financial modeling, technical and fundamental analysis, and risk management tools to help clients achieve their investment objectives on a strategic and tactical basis. Execute trades in listed and over-the-counter markets across equities, fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, commodities and rates utilizing algorithms, capital commitment, trading systems and open architecture. Determine suitable vehicles and strategies to implement a client's view on a certain security, asset class or market while effectively communicating the risks and benefits of each trade and monitoring them over time. Prepare written market commentary and sales documents outlining trade rationale and implementation for both internal and external distribution. Supervise financial analysts on the team, managing their daily schedules and job responsibilities.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Finance, Economics or a related field. Three (3) years experience in the job offered or in a related structured financial instrument position. Prior work experience must include: direct private wealth management experience; equity and fixed income valuation and trading; derivative execution experience across equities, fixed income and FX; strategic asset allocation experience implementing quantitative models in investment management including asset pricing models, optimization techniques; utilizing knowledge of portfolio theory to engage in portfolio construction process and to understand portfolio risk and return profiles; producing presentations for institutional clients using MS PowerPoint and pivot tables/vlookups in MS Excel; understanding of credit terms, ISDAs and documentation required for OTC trading; utilizing understanding of operation trade flow post trade execution; utilizing understanding of Black Scholes and components of option pricing mechanics; experience covering retail and institutional clients in a sales/trading capacity; understanding of risk and return characteristics of derivatives, including futures and options; dealing with ultra-high net worth individuals ($10M+ of liquid assets), and trading significant dollar amounts; trading all global asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, option derivative securities, foreign currencies, hedge funds, real estate, private equity and bank lending; understanding of different account structures, including brokerage accounts, irrevocable/revocable trust accounts, GRATs, foundations, endowments; utilizing knowledge of security valuation framework (PE, P/CF and P/B ratios among others); utilizing estate planning concepts and understanding of tax related issues relevant for multi-generational wealth planning; understanding tax issues relevant to high net worth clients and experience with tax documentation and reporting; working with clients to address liquidity needs by identifying appropriate lending vehicles (margin, securities based loans and/or lines of credit); educating and setting client expectations during IPO participation and allocation process; experience with fee structures within private wealth industry for various investment vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity funds and separate accounts), in addition to calculating weighted-average fees. FINRA Series 7, 3, 55 and 66 licenses eligibility required.
