RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Multiple positions available. Support the development of Human Capital Management's (HCM's) Recruiting and Talent Strategy through data collection, reporting, and analytics. Organize and interpret large data sets to create and disseminate reporting results across the recruiting organization. Proactively assume responsibility for internal client relationships; anticipate questions and recommend solutions. Analyze the strategy, priorities and trends of a business or content field in order to recommend solutions. Understand internal client needs to enhance reports, identify areas for automation and process improvement, and recommend technology solutions. Prepare and conduct training sessions for internal clients on available reports and reporting tools. Utilize Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups), and PowerPoint to summarize and analyze data. Maintain detailed understanding of HCM Data and Recruiting applicant tracking systems. Automate reports and report validations using tools such as Excel, VBA, Tableau, and Business Objects. Liaise between business stakeholders and technology and infrastructure teams to provide operational efficiency through report automation, identifying opportunities to reduce operational risk (automation of report validations), and participate in design and User Acceptance Testing of new technology driven automation. Additionally create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), data and process models, and document and workflow analysis. Drive multiple time-sensitive projects while demonstrating ability to manage confidential information.
Job Requirements: Master's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business, Accounting, an Engineering discipline, a Technology discipline, or Computer Science. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have (3) years of experience: working in an HCM or Technology field within a financial institution; particularly in a reporting/analytics function leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support a Business Partner, Talent, Recruiting, or Reward Function; mining through and organizing data sets that can exceed 1 million rows and navigating/analyzing in CSV, Excel, Tableau, and/or Business Objects; concurrently working on multiple large and complex data sets that may be unstructured and include duplicate and incomplete values that need to be thoroughly vetted and cleaned to prepare for analysis; interacting with stakeholders to understand business needs and creating reports and analytics in support of a stakeholders business strategy; leading training sessions for stakeholders to understand new report functionality/enhancements and understand self-service options available; and conducting 5+ levels of testing including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration and performance to verify clients' needs are met; analyzing and communicating client's business requirements by constructing easy-to-understand BRDs, data and process models through interviews, documents, and workflow analysis; providing input into developing test cases and modifying systems to meet client needs and developing business specifications to support these modifications. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Business Objects or similar BI platform, including experience editing queries, creating custom variables, structuring reports, filtering, and input controls; writing in VBA and creating macros; and Advanced Excel, including experience using vlookups, pivot tables with slicers, creating linked charts/visuals, conditional formatting, IF Statements, Arrays, and structuring unformatted data. Must have one (1) year of experience with: SQL, including experience joining types; manipulating/editing existing SQL: using SQL relational database systems to write queries and extract existing data to calculate/format into ad-hoc metrics. Must have Business Intelligence Tool Certification, such as Tableau, Apptio, or Business Objects and Project Management Certification.
