Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Analyze asset and sales activity for the Investment Management Division (IMD) Controllers team: responsible for new client onboarding client account restructures, acquisitions, divestitures and client terminations; ensure information is validated, attributions are confirmed for books and records processing, and data files are prepared for system uploads for certain fund families; engage in electronic communication, participate in global conference calls and perform ad hoc spreadsheet analysis; ensure technical changes or upgrades to systematic flows conform with reporting requirements. Validate projected results at micro and macro levels through exception report review and mathematical variance analyses: communicate with subject matter experts regarding yield adjustments to be posted before the asset and sales dataset can be finalized and locked for reporting; ensure controls are maintained throughout this process and evidence is retained to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and audit requirements. Prepare reports to satisfy Financial, Regulatory (SOX, SEC, FSA, etc.), Business (Quantitative Investment Strategies management reporting as well as portions of Fixed Income and Fundamental Equity) and IMD Controller requirements.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field. Will accept single degree or any combination of degrees/certifications and/or professional experience that are equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have experience with: U.S. GAAP and other applicable accounting principles; Financial Services industry, including experience with financial markets, currency translation and the regulatory environment; forecasting, including experience leveraging available metrics and models to project anticipated results for future reporting periods, including experience comprehending the limitations and biases of the generated results and experience explain and mitigate these limitations/biases; Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with pivot tables, vlookup formulas and macros; communicating (both verbally and writing) regarding risk mitigation with management hierarchy, lateral teams, departments, and regional officers; reviewing and interpreting legal documents.
