Senior Compliance Manager, London
GLG seeks an experienced professional for the role of Senior Compliance Manager in our London office. The Senior Compliance Manager will be a key member of the legal/compliance team, will oversee key aspects of GLG’s compliance program, and will be responsible for implementing policies, best practices, and internal and external compliance engagement. The Senior Compliance Manager will work extensively with members of the Legal & Compliance teams at GLG and must be able to build strong relationships with staff of the various business units to manage compliance issues both within and external to the company. The role will frequently interact with clients to help answer inquiries and provide support for client compliance protocols. Internal stakeholders will interact with the Senior Compliance Manager on a daily basis on the implementation of GLG’s industry-leading compliance policies. The candidate may have direct reports, and will be expected to provide guidance to other staff in daily activities as needed.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- An undergraduate degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or other related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a compliance or legal background but such degree is not required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a compliance role and/or the securities industry.
- Series of progressive roles in operations or compliance and a proven track record of success in compliance area.
- Some management experience.
