Business Development Manager, Law Team
Business Development Manager, Law Firms Team
GLG Law is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Manager to join the Business Development team in our New York office. The Manager will be responsible for business development, sales and service to new and existing clients throughout the United States and globally. The Business Development Manager at GLG Law will be deployed in support of client relationships, strategic positioning, and as a thought partner in client negotiations and executing complex projects. The Manager will need to be comfortable articulating GLG Law’s unique value proposition, and coaching others to do so as well. The Business Development Manager will need to work across functional teams to ensure excellent service delivery, while developing additional business opportunities with current clients.
We hire people who are passionate about solving the complex issues and needs that our clients face. We take pride that attorneys from the world’s top law firms, in-house teams, consultancies, and government agencies find us when they need the very best experts for consulting work, high-stakes litigation, and business development needs. We relentlessly build our relationships and brand awareness through thoughtful outreach and client development. There’s no script here; we each have our own unique style and embrace it. We’re all dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for our clients and have the requisite communication skills and polish to do so.
The role requires not only demonstrated sales acumen and leadership potential (including the desire to potentially manage junior team members), but the confidence to contact senior talent at leading law firms, in-house teams, and government agencies, and the tenacity to win the business. The Manager will be responsible for not only creating and managing his or her own phone-based business development and email campaigns, but to mentor and coach junior team members in business development best practices, and drive constant improvement across the business.
