In the Business Development Manager role you are developing GLG’s client relationships with the world’s leading R&D organizations across High Tech, Industrials and Life Sciences. GLG’s platform delivers unparalleled and rapid access to insight to support decision-making across innovation, strategic planning, corporate development, product development, and go-to-market functions. You’ll be entering a high growth business defining a new category from within the world’s leading B2B insights platform. The Business Development Manager role is a rare opportunity to build a category from the ground up. 


Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and test hypotheses to engage target segments
  • Identify leads within your target accounts who fit GLG’s ideal customer profile
  • Own full sales cycle from first contact through contract close
  • Achieve sales targets through identifying, qualifying, and closing business
  • Collaborate closely across sales, marketing and solutions organizations


An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Grit and tenacity: you wake up every day with a goal of getting 1% better
  • A strong track record of hitting or beating your targets in every job you’ve had
  • Experience selling into or operating in advisory and product-oriented functions (Corporate Strategy, M&A, Product Marketing, Product Management, Market Research), ideally in the Fortune 500
  • “Full stack” sales experience (prospecting through closing) with a least a year of experience in new business sales role
