Job Summary


GLG is looking for an associate to help a startup division, called Strategic Projects, to build out a strong network of independent consulting talent (Council Members). This individual will work closely with GLG Strategic Projects leadership on creating and executing the vision for critically important business capabilities across: talent management and acquisition, loyalty, and operations.


This role is critical for the success of the business unit as associate will help build the network of independent consultants, which is the engine of our business. The successful candidate will be personable, responsible, result-oriented, insights-driven, and passionate about what we do. You are also entrepreneurial self-starter, who is able to dig into the root cause to crack the problem and thrive in a rapidly evolving business.


This position will report to AVP, Strategic Projects who will provide a close mentoring environment to rapidly accelerate development, while also allowing autonomy to drive projects forward.


Specific responsibilities include:
  • Talent management: Creation of a mutually beneficial talent network environment that generates Council Member satisfaction, loyalty and efficiency for our internal teams e.g. communication through CRM, webinars, etc..
  • Recruiting: Identifying, pitch, recruit, on-boarding and vet Council Members as large scale. Scale and streamline recruiting operations to enroll new members e.g. leveraging technology, webinars, marketing and recruiting campaigns, third-parties resources, etc…
  • Talent development: Develop GLG services that support Council Members in their professional development, business success, and client service e.g. establish structured feedback process, training programs, timely communications and updates, etc…
  • Operations: This role will help streamline operations for talent acquisition and may over time get involved in broader business operations
  • Insights and analytics: To understand Council Member this role will collect insights and at times look into the large dataset to glean more insights, synthesize findings
  • Brand ambassador: Portray a positive image of our product and be a go-to person for external and internal stakeholders


  • Preferred qualifications: 3+ years of experience; preferred talent management operations, behavioral economic or start up
  • Personable, energetic and motivate to grow the business from ground up
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and integrity combined with practical sense to cut to core issues
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in entrepreneurial environment
  • Develop and deliver written and verbal communication to inform decision makers
  • Structuring and leading multiple projects simultaneously to completion
  • Team player and creative problem-solver
  • Solid computer skills and analytics, e., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven Ability to Self-Start
