Vaccine Contract Manager - Independent - WA, OR, ID, WY, NV, UT, CO
* Implement and drive execution of Headquarter initiated contracting strategies and tactics to meet or exceed goals for key contracted customers and buying groups.
Develop and sustain values-based relationships with key contracted customers.
Establish value-added contact with customers to ensure proactive identification of key issues and enhanced business-selling opportunities, and work closely with RVPs, RISDs, and Sales teams to achieve optimum contract or purchasing program performance.
Establish and maintain customer-intimate relationships with key private market customer accounts within assigned Area.
Develop an extensive understanding of the customers' business model and goals. Assess customer needs; identify and discover their true immunization potential.
Partner with Contracting Strategy in the development of promotional tools for sales force use with customers.
Serve as subject matter expert to support Sales Training in the development and execution of training/educational approaches on contract messaging.
Identify potential new contracting opportunities to drive business in the Area. Partner with Contracting Strategy to develop and implement plans, programs, contracts to meet both the needs of the customer and those of GSK Vaccines.
Partner with brand teams to implement value-added programs intended to enhance the customer relationship, solidify position of GSK vaccines. Integrate GSK Vaccines offerings and capabilities to continually enhance the value proposition for key customers in Area.
Analyze account sales information and recommend actions to ensure the achievement of business objectives, including establishing/maintaining access and/or positive positioning of GSK products.
Manage the allocation of resources (support functions, programs, financial and technical) to maximize the opportunity for GSK and the benefit to assigned Area accounts.
Meet market share objectives for GSK Vaccines portfolio.
Assist each Area FVP in the achievement of all private market commercial objectives.
* 4 year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel up to 50%.
Valid driver's license
* MBA preferred
4 years of vaccine sales, including * 2 years of highly successful vaccine account management experience (private or public)
Completion of Area or Regional Development Program (ADP/RDP)
Proven ability to use analytical skills and technology to evaluate situations and communicate complex ideas. Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Success in decision-making, strategic planning, and creating business solutions.
Strong knowledge of GSK Vaccines portfolio of products, competitive market, and customers.
Ability to interact with all levels of management for both internal and external customer base.
Viewed as expert resource by internal and external customers, stakeholders, and counterparts.
Strong financial acumen and ability to develop and execute sophisticate business plans.
Expert selling skills, including group selling, training.
Demonstrated knowledge of how to work collaboratively, within team and/or matrix environment.
Demonstrated project management ability.
Strong computer and financial modeling skills; Microsoft Office preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and persuasively communicate strategies and tactics. Strong influence and negotiation skills.
Clear, articulate presentations.
