Utility Engineer

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Engineering

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose:

Management and Compliance of Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and technical procedures and Global Policies along with the formulation and implementation of. New global strategies from Group level related to engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Assist in operation and maintenance of Utilities Services at site including steam systems, water system, compressed air system and air conditioning system.

2.Provide support in Site Major Projects.

3.Participate in the Department Strategic Planning activity. Provide useful inputs regarding existing capacities, and requirements, to achieve the projected Plans.

4.Deal L2, and L3 auditors pertaining to the supplies in the Utilities area.

5.Provide inputs in preparation of Business Continuity Plans.

6.Provide inputs in preparation of Site Facility Master Plan.

7.Group reporting and monitoring of Site energy consumption.

8.Quality of work and staff safety are undertaken in a manner consistent with GSK Customer service and cost targets.

9.Coordinate in planning the activities related to the maintaining and repairing of physical systems of plant and equipment

10.Participate in inter departmental teams and provide engineering support services.

11.Ensure continuous improvement, economical and efficient Engineering process

12.Provide input in Engineering related Risks Assessment procedures as well as Self Inspections.

13.Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability

14.Lead Computer System Validation activities related to Production Equipments at site.

15.Lead gap analysis and implementation Global Engineering Standards at Site.

  • Operational Business

16.Assist in managing operation and maintenance of Utilities Services at site including steam systems, water system, compressed air system and air conditioning system.

17.Coordinate for Major Site Projects

18.Monitor Engineering related Risks Assessment procedures as well as Self Inspections.

  • Compliance and Procedural Implementations

19.Ensure compliance with Global Engineering Standards and Global GSK policies and procedures comprising of GMP, ETCM, TPs,, EHS, and GQP policies.

20.Liaise with Group representatives for guidance for implementation of different global policies

21.Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedure so that engineering activities are operated safely, support EHS and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements.

22.Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated Parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability.

23.Conduct Risks Assessment as well as Self Inspections

24.Develop plan and co-ordinate for the implementation of Computer System Validation

25.Ensure adequate selection, training and development of staff to achieve their Maximum potential to meet business objective.

26.Be a role model on Leadership essential behaviors

27.User performance development plans effectively for better performance and development of teams

28.Empower young engineers to make business decisions.
