Trade Compliance Valuation Specialist
GSK is legally obliged to comply with all frequently changing trade compliance rules and regulations globally to ensure continued supply of all products around the world.
Trade Compliance is GSK's response to ensure compliance with all customs and trade regulations globally and minimize risk associated with non-compliance e.g. fines, penalties, disruption to supply chain, reputational damage and potential imprisonment.
This role will be part of the customs valuations operations team, providing a timely and effective service globally across all business units to ensure that we assigned to our shipments a defendable and justifiable value for customs in accordance without Corporate Policy and the WTO's Valuation Agreement.
• Identify, define & deploy key projects and initiatives to address performance gaps and continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery.
• Assess system capabilities and define program of work to rectify gaps and issues identified on an ongoing basis formulating business case for process and system changes.
• Resolve and reply to queries from users and stakeholders within SLAs
• Maintenance of the GSK valuation tool ensuring values are updated per the admin guide and any IT issues are managed.
• Perform analysis of data to determine the value of any assists which needs to be addressed by the business.
• Ensure changes to regulations either globally or locally are identified and embedded into our approved valuation methodologies.
•Proactive management of customs valuation related risks in accordance with GSK's strategic priorities.
Operate effective governance, processes and measures are delivered in accordance to regulations and business need
You are a passionate Valuation Specialist with the following attributes:
Degree in Customs Valuation
Working knowledge of customs valuation in a manufacturing and R&D environment.
Working knowledge of global customs procedures
Supply chain activities
Strong trade compliance knowledge
Strong customer focus
Demonstrated attention to detail
Good communication and people skills
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse data
Strong strategic knowledge of GSK's direction
Ability to work within a team
