Systems Analyst (EHS)

Basic qualifications:

  • Enjoy working with IT Systems to improve their user-friendliness and functionality
  • Be able to map processes within IT systems
  • Be knowledgeable about and drive compliance to data protection regulations

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with analysing and the reporting of data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Microsoft Access skills, including SQL
  • A familiarity with EHS IT Systems, preferably Medgate and EHS Central

Details:

Our Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS) department require a Systems Analyst to manage all IT applications and analytical tools which are used within the team.

These IT Systems are used to collect and store data including SPII medical records, injury & Illness incident reports and environmental data.

The data collected is used to internally to provide monthly insights to senior Directors and to aid decision making. Externally, this information is audited and directly contributes to GSK's public reputation.

Our Analysts are therefore tasked to ensure that these systems are user-friendly, record accurate data and are compliant to all appropriate regulations.

Job Details

  • Act as Lead System Administrator for Medgate IT application - used to manage electronic medical records, safety incidents and industrial hygiene data base
  • Act as one of three System Administrators for CR360 application - used to record environmental data, incidents, near miss reports and to track EHS audits
  • Manage other EHS IT systems, SharePoint sites and analytical tools that support EHS data verification.
  • Track support spend on third party EHS IT applications to ensure spend remains within budget
  • Provide training guides for systems/tools and self-help reference materials.
  • Perform user access management reviews for all EHS IT applications to ensure compliance with GSK policies on data management wrt SPII.
  • Perform continuous improvement reviews of EHS data collection systems and work flows
  • Document and update standard work for all EHS data collection and verification workflows
  • Perform problem resolution and communications with stakeholders for system disruptions.
  • Develop and deliver simple reports and dashboards to support KPI monitoring and business needs.
  • Maintain and update the EHS IT systems operational procedures aligned with GSKs Internal Control Framework.
  • Design and perform data quality reviews to ensure accuracy of environmental and incident data reporting.
  • Develop new tools and resources to support continuous improvement.
  • Manage EHS IT systems, SharePoint sites and analytical tools that support EHS data verification.
  • Manage third party software budgets and monitor vendor service delivery.
  • Provide training guides for systems/tools and self-help reference materials.
  • Perform access management reviews for all systems/tools.
  • Perform continuous improvement reviews of EHS data collection systems and work flows
  • Document and update standard work for all EHS data collection and verification workflows
  • Perform problem resolution and communications with stakeholders for system disruptions.
  • Develop and deliver simple reports and dashboards to support KPI monitoring and business needs.
  • Establish and update the EHS IT systems operational procedures aligned with GSKs Internal Control Framework.
