Sr. Director Field Capability Strategy and Development

As Senior Director Field Capability Strategy & Development, you will be responsible for embedding the overarching learning and development vision and strategy to meet the capability and training needs of ViiV Healthcare's North America field teams, including development and execution of an enhanced performance and success measurement framework to help guide learning initiatives, as well as serving as the strategic partner to the North America Leadership Team for determining and prioritizing current and long-term field capability and development needs in support of ViiV's business strategy.

  • Instills the overarching Commercial learning and development vision and strategy to meet capability and training needs of a business that is evolving in a highly competitive and complex market.
  • Creates the strategy to lead and is accountable for delivery of the strategy, execution of training, and performance and success measures.
  • Modernizes ViiV's learning and development approach by leveraging insights and new learning technology to transform ViiV's selling capabilities into the industry leader.
  • Strategic Partner with North America Commercial Leaders, Marketing, Sales, Market Access and Medical and HR to determine and prioritize current and long-term field capability and development needs consistent with brand and organizational strategy
  • Leads, executes and oversees the implementation of all STEM engagement for NA Pharmaceuticals.
  • Evaluate and prioritize key strategic levers in the Learning & Development space to ensure a strong focus on customer-centric learning solutions for NA Pharmaceuticals.
  • Enable high-quality learning across NA Pharmaceuticals through a comprehensive and innovative learning technology strategy.
  • Embed the use of leading, lagging metrics, and analytics to support the measurement and the impact of learning solutions
  • Assesses external landscape and other industries to ensure that ViiV's curriculum and use of technology is best in class.


Why you?Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ year's commercial experience in sales and/or marketing roles with demonstrated success
  • Leadership experience


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master's Degree
  • 3+ years' commercial experience in the healthcare environment
  • Strong leadership experience in Marketing or other first line leader roles
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with change initiatives, employee development and/or instructional design
