Specialist Reliability Engineer

Basic qualifications:

Master in Engineering

Experience with SAP and ability to manage and treat a large amount of data

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge in reliability engineering and/or maintenance management
  • Knowledge in maintenance contract management and in spare parts management
  • Certification VCA or equivalent
  • Knowledge in maintenance process and methods such as e RNI, RCM, FMEA, CBM and

corresponding tools

  • Qualified in root cause techniques such as RCA, Kepner & Tregoe©
  • Good capacity to work in cooperation with production, engineering and maintenance

departments including spare parts warehouse and procurement.

  • Good team spirit
  • Good technical knowledge of vaccine's production equipment and broad knowledge of their

common breakdowns

  • Good judgement and able to define strategy and fix priorities
  • Result oriented
  • Fluent in French
  • Good communication in English, both written and speaking
  • Able to work under pressure, to raise challenges and to take decisions
  • Pro-active attitude

Job Purpose:

The main goal of the reliability Engineer (RE) is to analyze the performance of the MPU in

terms of reliability, availability and costs of the in-place maintenance system. The RE

maintains and optimizes the technical performance in close collaboration with the operational

maintenance and the local engineering department. The RE develops the preventive and

predictive maintenance, conducts the required inspections and updates the existing plans.

The RE gives assistance and technical support to ensure profitable solutions.

The RE ensure that the required methodologies, such as criticality analysis, RBI, RCM,

FMEA and spare parts studies, are conducted and facilitates the linked workshops. The RE is

capable to closely work with people from the engineering departments, technicians and

operators to create a proactive mentality to avoid failures.

The RE also reviews and approves the internal or external maintenance plans and checks

that all maintenance contracts are correctly integrated.

The RE supplies the required information to OPEX projects linked to maintenance

improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the maintenance strategy for the MPU facilities
  • Facilitate the reliability process to ensure the identification, prioritization and mitigation of the

reliability threats within the MPU

  • Responsible for the updating of the existing preventive maintenance programs, inspections

and calibrations. Regular spot check of the maintenance and inspection plans based on the

criticality analysis.

  • Checking regularly the content of in place maintenance/service contracts with OEM
  • Periodically check of the assets performance, analyzing of the performance loss, the

efficiency of the maintenance strategy, based on reliability expertise/characteristics and on

failure risks.

  • Updating of the KPI's to measure the performance of the in-place maintenance and the

system improvements

  • Assess the bad-actors in terms of security, reliability, availability and maintenance costs
  • Facilitate the workshops RBI, RCM et FMEA if required
  • Assess the lack of spare parts management and determine the plan for critical parts

management

  • Supply information to assess the OPEX budget linked to maintenance in cooperation with the

TS head.

  • Supply information to configure the maintenance management system in SAP
  • Ensure the root-cause analysis in case of high risk reliability incidents
  • Responsible for all aspects of the change management system linked to improvement of the

in-place maintenance system

  • Supply of a life cycle analysis for a new equipment if required
  • Spread general communications and reports to the TS head
