GSK Vaccines grew by 14% in 2016 and is one of the largest in the world. Every year we distribute nearly 1 billion doses to 170 countries, of which over 80% were supplied to developing countries. We produce 30 paediatric and adult vaccines, 11 of which are world first, to prevent a range of infectious diseases including; hepatitis, rotavirus and HPV infections, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, bacterial meningitis and influenza. Our Tuas site, one of only two GSK global vaccines manufacturing facilities worldwide, operates around-the-clock to manufacture the active ingredient used to make a GSK vaccine that protects children against pneumonia.

The Role
We are currently looking for experienced individuals to join the Operational Excellence team as a Senior Operational Excellence (OE) Engineer, reporting to the reporting to the Operational Process Excellence Manager .

Purpose:

• To strategize, lead and implement business critical projects and to deliver enhancement to organization work efficiency and business profitability using Lean 6 sigma tools

Key Responsibilities:

As a leader of change, you will be responsible to drive a culture of quality, customer focus, data-driven decision making, ownership of processes and operational metrics, and continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to lead complex, strategic projects (cross-functional/cross-departmental) and facilitate workshops, kaizens/project/problem solving sessions.

On top of this, you are required to interpret customers' needs and requirements, translates concepts into practice, identify process improvement opportunities and quantify results and trends.

You will be engaging all employees (business leaders to team members) to adopt Lean Six Sigma concepts, tools and methods.

You will deliver financial improvement (cost/waste reduction, cash flow improvement, revenue enhancement), defect reduction and cycle time improvement.

Partner with leaders, providing support, tools and training to effectively deploy Lean Six Sigma .

Coaching and mentoring Champions, Black Belts and Green Belts and other selected group .

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
Candidate should be holds a Bachelor degree either in Engineering or MS/MBA with at least 6 years of industrial experience in process improvements, management consulting or related business experience.

Should have at least a GREEN BELT in Six Sigma. Black Belt would have an advantage.

Preferred qualifications:
Strong knowledge in statistics.
Experience in coaching/teaching LEAN Six Sigma Tools, DMAIC Methods and concepts at the Black Belt Level.
Lean manufacturing leadership.
Practical application of lean or Six Sigma.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong Continuous improvement mindset.
Good leadership skills.
