Security Advisor (Asia Pacific – South)

To provide Security leadership and advice across GSK Asia Pacific Business Units (BUs). Leadership Responsibilities include:

GSK Business Service Centre, Kuala Lumpur is GSK's first global hub in Asia and will play a key role in GSK's Core Business Services consolidating the organisation's global and regional service delivery in IT, Finance, Employee Services, Indirect Procurement and Worldwide Real Estate and Facilities into an integrated shared service network.

The Role

  • Provide security advice and support for all GSK sites and personnel to provide a safe and secure working environment for all staff and the protection of GSK assets and interests.
  • Assist the Security Director Asia Pacific in the development and implementation of Corporate Security objectives and responsibilities ethically and effectively.
  • Support the GSK product security in Asia Pacific.
  • Provide strategic security awareness briefings for management teams employees and other security education material as appropriate.
  • Work with Corporate Security to coordinate security policy, practice and procedure delivering a standardised, high quality product around the world.
  • Provide security advice to GSK personnel at all levels.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with international and national intelligence and law enforcement agencies at the appropriate levels.
  • Undertake the Site Security Survey programme within Asia Pacific.
  • Provide a 24/7 CS response service for Asia Pacific.
  • Manage the Global Security Service provider contract and security operations for the Asia Pacific Region, adopting a partnership approach with the service provider and taking responsibility for performance management.
  • Attend reviews with service providers as required to ensure a high quality of service from the security service provider.
  • Advise on the development and strategy for technical projects involving the sites, including security technology, equipment requirements and simplification processes.
  • Assist with CCM planning and training within Asia Pacific and support the GSK LOC Leadership's response to business disruptions and crisis situations.
  • Build effective working relationships with GSK personnel at all levels.
