Regional Category Manger, Warehouse & Distribution Procurement EU & MEA

Your Responsibilities:
Production Procurement supports the ambitions of GSK by providing procurement services to over 70 GSK production sites and GSK's Pharmaceutical and Consumer supply chains taking our products from manufacture to our patients and consumers.
The Logistics Procurement team ensures that Production Procurement is delivering targeted value for each supply chain and ensuring the needs of Quality, Safety and Cost are met.
Your responsibilities:
• Lead in the development, management and implementation of comprehensive sourcing strategies for Logistics regional or local basis in alignment with GSK and Procurement to deliver agreed savings targets
• Lead in the development of supply strategies that deliver business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation
• Participate in cross functional sourcing teams with joint accountability for service and quality performance through strategy development and implementation at global, regional or local level
• Implement initiatives and programs to improve quality of bought-in goods and services and increase service levels for the regional supply chains
• Lead in the development and management the supply base for external GMS end to end supply chain providing supply of high quality and competitively priced services
• Lead in the development of strategic relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost effective sources for relevant commodities
• Participate in the development of Continuous Improvement strategy for supply base
• Represent the category on relevant strategy development and supply chain planning forums
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring business alignment for excellent execution
• Lead a team of both direct and indirect reports to achieve a common goal and develop others

Basic qualifications:
• Master's Degree or MBA (Procurement, Engineering, Business, Finance)
• Considerable specialist knowledge and practical experience and viewed as subject matter expert in managing Logistics in a regional/global sourcing context
• Highly developed commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a competitive commercial advantage. Successful multi-year track record in delivering year on year savings in a challenging economic climate
• Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at management level
• Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations at management level with both external and internal stakeholders
• Expertise in logistics processes and regulatory requirements
• Project and Change management experience with strong leadership and team development
• In depth understanding of external environment & supplier relationship models
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills across
• Understanding business value, business priorities, and implementation risks
• Demonstrated success in leading projects to meet and improve the needs of business
• Ability to operate and influence across all business units and across multiple disciplines
• Experience managing the delivery of large projects and with end-to-end service / operations management
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communications
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills
