QC Specialist

GSK Vaccines grew by 14% in 2016 and is one of the largest in the world. Every year we distribute nearly 1 billion doses to 170 countries, of which over 80% were supplied to developing countries. We produce 30 paediatric and adult vaccines, 11 of which are world first, to prevent a range of infectious diseases including; hepatitis, rotavirus and HPV infections, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, bacterial meningitis and influenza. Our Tuas site, one of only two GSK global vaccines manufacturing facilities worldwide, operates around-the-clock to manufacture the active ingredient used to make a GSK vaccine that protects children against pneumonia.

The role:
We are currently looking for a QC Specialist reporting to the QC Manager, to be based in our Plant in Tuas.


Technical Responsibilities:
• Supports annually and quarterly product quality review.
o Analyze the data accurately, report and deliver timely the product annual review report.
• Supports implementation of total quality review (TQR) for periodic assessments of methods used on commercial products.
• Supports the SAP system in QC.
o Coordinate and performs changes in monoghraphs/inspections plan for existing and new materials.
o Provides supports in SAP related matters.
• Supports the investigation system in QC
o Performs the reports for trends, invalids, atypical result and OOS.
• Provides technical support to ensure the manufactured products meet the applicable regulatory standards and guideline with respect to Quality Control.
• Lead root cause analysis for deviations (L3,L2,L1 deviations) and follow through the unplanned event with QA.
• Handle CAPA and change control.
• Author of SOP/protocols/reports/trend analysis.
• Manage ad hoc tasks.

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
• University Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Or a Diploma with at least 5 years working experience

Preferred qualifications:
Competent Technical skills in :
• Common laboratory techniques
• Computer system validation
• CAPA
• Laboratory equipment qualification
• Method Validation


• Knowledge of cGMP and cGLP

• Preferably with knowledge of statistics

• Preferably with SAP experience

• Preferably with knowledge of compendium

• Effective report writing skills
