Procurement Senior Manager for Process Equipment

Basic qualifications:

Master level degree in business/procurement

At last 5 to 8 year experience in Procurement

Preferred qualifications:

Strategic sourcing (set-up of long term strategy for category management)

Creative, conceptual thinker, capable of identifying new solutions

Strong People Management, both downward and upward

Result oriented and able to develop and present strong arguments to convince of the need for change

Agility to work across various categories and wide panel of stakeholders at different levels

Fluent in French & English


Job Purpose:

Set clear procurement direction for the team for the next 3-5 years

Focus on added value activities by finding ways to work differently & simplify (outsourcing)

Drive results and increase category management of the team

Set & drive global procurement strategy for process equipment required for Vaccines production: equipment related to primary (upstream & downstream), secondary (filling packaging), clean utilities & analytical equipment part of Vaccines production process. Portfolio related to Vessels, fermenter, autoclaves, washing machines, centrifuges, etc.

Consolidate, find synergies with the others Category Leads across GSK business units (GMS & CBS)

Senior stakeholder management & business partnering to support holistic approach and international development for process equipment cross VX & GSK

Team lead of 3 GSK staff with robust people development and priority management (Belgium based, potentially int'l based)

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize spend of more than €50 million

Manage and reduce a pool of current suppliers worldwide

Align and agree yearly objectives for the categories

Manage variety range of spend categories for which different procurement approach are developed, leveraging global footprint when relevant & simply when relevant

Elaborate strategic sourcing plans for key spend categories to support GSK growth

Leverage at corporate level suppliers performance by influencing key suppliers executives, setting goals and objectives and aligning both suppliers and GSK resources to obtain the desired results

Day to day supervision of the team and activities = manage peak and find resource solution when appropriate

Lead and motivate your Procurement team

Make procurement team recognized as a strong business value partner

Ensure compliance to procedures and highest level of ethical standards;

protect GSK interests whilst not compromising relationship with internal clients

Deal with various senior level stakeholders in global operations & corporate level
