Our Global Procurement organisation does more than just buying goods and services to support our patients and consumers worldwide, Procurement helps bring innovation and value to the entire business.
This could be bringing a new respiratory product technology from our suppliers to our patients or creating a value driven ad campaign with our social media partners to reach new consumers in emerging markets.
What will the programme be like?
We are offering you, through this two year programme, an outstanding opportunity to support the commercial ambitions of GSK and progress your career into senior leadership roles. You will be provided with a solid grounding in Procurement through a variety of challenging rotations across direct and indirect procurement with an international perspective that will push you to your limits. This will be underpinned by the appropriate levels of support and training.
From day one you will be given direct responsibility to manage spend across various categories working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver value to your customer and ultimately the patient or consumer.

By developing best practice Procurement skills during the programme, you'll learn how to collaborate with our business partners and external supply chain to bring innovation and value to GSK. We'll also learn from your enthusiasm and fresh thinking that you can bring to our organisation.
Where can I work?
Initial roles are within Singapore. But we're a truly global organisation, so you may find the opportunity to gain international experience in the future.
What's expected of me?
We'll expect you to be a self-starter and get involved in managing projects and prioritising a variety of tasks effectively. This means you'll need to build working relationships with people at all levels of our organisation. Not least, we want you to keep developing new skills and knowledge wherever you find the opportunity. We will expect you to deliver, to a high standard, against the challenges and opportunities that are offered to you.
What do I need to succeed?
Whatever your degree, you'll need ambition, a genuine interest in procurement and the commercial world coupled with and a self-motivated, proactive approach. We're looking for clear, effective communicators who can quickly build a rapport with a wide range of people. It's also important that you can adapt to change and keep focused when the pressure is on. While you've the drive and confidence to trust your own judgement, you're a real team player who actively collaborates with others. In addition, you'll need an inquisitive analytical mindset, a talent for multi-tasking and the ability to influence others. Highly desirable attributes also include language skills and cultural affinity.
