P2P Process Adoption & Implementation Manager

Basic qualifications:

  • University degree/accountant or equivalent
  • Experience in developing and implementing standard processes globally across an organisation
  • Good understanding of the internal and external experience of end-to-end requisition-to-pay process
  • Exposure to working in implementation of large scale transformation
  • Experience of working as a team and in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Appreciation of current and emerging technology and how this may impact the requisition to pay processes

Preferred qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of lean sigma techniques and principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key regional business unit contacts, Business Service Center Operations Improvements team and other partners (e.g. Procurement and IT)

Details:

Reporting to the Process Adoption and Implementation Director, the Process Adoption & Implementation Manager will be responsible for assisting in the overall end-to-end standardisation and transformation aspects of the Requisition-to-Pay activities across GSK and ensuring there is alignment with the Sub-Process Directors and Regional Process Improvement Expert teams. All with the objective to help achieve our objectives to improve the buying and supplier experience, as well as reduce our GSK cost to serve and to manage risk.

The role will also be responsible for supporting the delivering cost-to-serve and productivity improvements within the Requisition-to-Pay process, working closely with the Process Adoption & Implementation Director, the Sub-Process Directors within the Requisition-to-Pay and the Global Process Owner (GPO) to ensure end-to-end process connectivity. This will also include working closely with colleagues in Finance Services, the CERPS/M-ERP projects and Procurement to address any productivity issues associated with the deployment of the new platform.

This P2P Process Adoption & Implementation Manager will also be accountable for and support of the delivery of projects and transformation efforts globally.

Key responsibilities will include :

The P2P Process Adoption and Implementation Manager will be responsible to investigate, analyse and feedback to the P2P Process Adoption and Implementation Director issues pertaining to the regional process, policies, procedures including technical observations - including feedback and issues from the operational teams and supported businesses, and compare and contrast processes and issues within each region to determine optimal solution/s – focusing on globalization, standardisation, simplification and centralization. Ensuring timely and coordinated communication with the P2P GPO and relevant Sub-Process Directors (as required) to enable visibility to support global process improvements and/or insights / co-creation into global strategy.

Extract, analyse and consolidate insights, feedback and data from all regions and business units globally, triage, prioritise and present proposals (with facts and data) to the P2P GPO and the respective Sub-Process Directors to feed into the global P2P portfolio management review.

Work with and guide the regional Process Improvement Expert teams for resolution and implementation of local/tactical improvements identified.

Participate during global project design and development phases to ensure alignment with market/regional needs.

For local/tactical improvements, pass-off to the respective regional Process Improvement Expert team for resolution and implementation. Closely monitor and co-ordinate the activities of the regional Process Improvement Expert teams to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of the local/tactical improvements identified.

Input/feedback into business cases led by the Sub-Process Directors taking into account impacts of the business case on the P2P processes operated by the business units in each region.

Support the P2P Process Adoption and Implementation Director during deployment/engagement activities for process and project changes.

Work closely with regional Process Improvement Expert teams to collaborate, share and create improvement solutions

Work closely with local super users/market contacts with collation of data, testing (e.g. DIL) and deployment planning and execution.
