1.Direct and manage the media agency relationship with a media billing volume of approx. 55-60 Mio. GBP.
2.Work in tandem with the European Media Director to efficiently and effectively deliver a centralized media approach across the three markets in the DACH area, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
3.Ensure the Consumer Healthcare business receives a best in class media service from the media agency with a strong focus on strategy.
4.Build and develop a trusted relationship with marketing in order to provide credible media counsel and direction.
- Strategic responsibility
oWork closely with Global Media Team to embed centrally generated best practice media planning and buying guidelines, Golden Measures and standardized reporting
oEducate the business as to what good to great looks like in terms of media planning and buying
oAdapt central guidelines and drive compliance for local implementation in agreement with Global Categories, local Marketing Directors and local Brand Management
oContribute and collaborate in Global Media related best practice projects to provide benchmarking data and guidelines in innovative, impactful and efficient Media connections
oManage and harmonize media agency deliveries and resources across whole GSK brand portfolio across DACH in a cross-national and cross-functional matrixed organisation
oDrive the Digital agenda in close collaboration with the GSK Digital team and Media agency
oProvide input to the Sourcing-Strategy across all media aspects in alignment with Global and local business objectives
- Operational responsibility
oActively advise the Brand-Management on global and local gold standard consumer media connections plans
oSupport local GM and senior Commercial Team in media investment decisions by providing a consistent real-time Working Media performance and investment monitoring.
oDevelop and maintain real-time accessible media knowledge sharing for all media management related insights, reporting, best-practice
oDrive Media capabilities and support the Marketing teams to develop their relationship with the Media agency planners and how to have effective dialogue
oBuild strong relationships with Media owners to leverage their assets.
oProvide timely and accurate roll-up of information for Europe.
oDevelop constant learning approach for Marketing in Digital skills.
- Bachelor Degree Marketing and / or Media or Master Degree in Media- or Market Research
- Minimum 3 years of practice experience in Media agencies / advertisers Media Management department
- Digital expertise: conversant with all forms of digital formats and measurements
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Comprehension and working experience of media planning ("Connections planning") to assist brand teams and identify media opportunities for brands
- Comprehension of media buying
- Develops initiatives and can work independently but collaboratively
- Experience of the diverse market media landscapes in scope: Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken mandatory – German number one language
- Practice experience in cross-cultural, international team collaboration highly appreciated
