IT Consultant, Technical Analyst (GSK IT)

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Information Technology; Computer Science or related field)
  • Track record in successful IT development, solution design, project delivery, and service management
  • Good command of English
  • Demonstrated expertise with angular JS, JQuery or other JavaScript libraries
  • Can demonstrate customer management skills having the ability to drive outcomes & manage customer expectations
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to listen and influence stakeholders at all Levels
  • Demonstrated expertise in HTML and web page design (JavaScript, CSS style sheets, document object model); XML and web services
  • At least 1 year of experience with developing SharePoint solutions in SharePoint Server 2010/2013

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in learning new technologies
  • Experience with the ITIL service management model
  • Application development experience using the Microsoft .NET Framework with C# and SQL Server/Oracle Databases.
  • Eagerness to learn Search technologies such as HP IDOL Search Engines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and development of solutions to meet business unit objectives utilizing service gateway and enterprise search applications
  • Technical support for the resolution of complex service problems
  • Management of small to medium sized projects
  • Continuous improvement and simplification of service architecture and infrastructure
  • Participation in service Voice of the Customer process management
  • Problem definition, root cause analysis, and solution development
  • Creation of technical specifications and design documentation from business requirements. Documentation must adhere to all GSK standards
  • Development and unit testing of reusable software components.
  • Software configuration and deployment; all application changes must follow defined business and system change management practices.
  • Participation in system and user acceptance testing efforts within service.
