GSK's Supply Chain is constantly evolving. We are continually looking at how we can better serve the patient through industry-leading initiatives – whether it is through our supply chain systems (SAP/Manugistics/JDA); or our global process initiatives (End to End Supply Chain; Flow; Accelerated Delivery Program).

Our Supply Chain Operations is made up of 2 departments; In-Market Logistics, and Customer Service. This team manages the supply chain activities for all vaccines and prescription medication.

This role interacts with all areas of the Commercial business and Manufacturing/Supply on a daily basis, the opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced and leading-edge environment is invaluable. The candidate will work on Projects that will encompass all Supply Chain activities such as Customer Service, Warehousing and Logistics.

Crucial to this role, is your ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and demonstrate your strong interpersonal skills.

The role will undertake the following activities:

  • Co-ordinate the forecast process with Brand Mangers on a cyclical basis and regional supply chain managers with forecasting support and insight.
  • Communicate inventory positions on assigned portfolio and work with the business to put in place mitigation plans (if needed) to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Work with Government, to ensure all regulatory permits are maintained.
  • Negotiate supply plans with regional supply chain managers.

What we're looking for in a candidate:

  • You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelors Degree in Business/Commerce, Supply Chain or related field
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
  • Strong passion and interest in the placement field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail, rigor and process
  • Excellent project management, in order to manage and prioritise multiple ongoing projects
  • Teamwork, ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to quickly build strong internal & external networks
