Global Marketing Director - Oncology (BCMA)
Reporting to the Global Medicine Commercialization Lead (MCL), this newly created role of Global Marketing Director will lead the development of the global strategic launch plan for GSK'916, an anti B-cell maturation agent (BCMA) monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate (ADC). BCMA is a first-in-class ADC and has received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the FDA and PRIME designation from the EMA. Data presented at ASH 2017 shows significant clinical activity and thus GSK is accelerating actions to prepare for a global launch. This role will have significant interaction with senior leadership of both Oncology and Pharma as we prepare for GSK's re-entry into the Global Oncology market.
Using GSK's Launch Excellence framework, this role will collaborate with colleagues from across functions and geographies to co-create the brand vision, launch strategy, and go-to-market model.
Under the direction of the Medical Commercialisation Leader, the Global Marketing Director (GMD) will lead the preparation of the global strategic plan, generating key HCP, patient, payer, and market insights and translating them into a 2-year launch strategy and core launch platform (positioning, customer value propositions, messaging, core launch materials).
The GMD will be a core member of the global Medicine Commercialization Team, and ensure active participation of key countries into strategy generation followed by aligned execution to that strategy. Post launch you will work closely with these countries to achieve the sales ambition.
The GMD will lead the commercial input into the ongoing evidence generation strategy, will contribute to the development of an effective post launch optimization plan and will need to ensure integration and alignment with the wider GSK oncology portfolio. This role will also help develop mid-term and long-term lifecycle management strategies.
• Previous experience in oncology marketing; Prefer some of this experience in global marketing experience preferred
• Prior country-level sales, marketing, and launch experience, prefer in Europe or Asia.
• Prior experience leading the development of positioning and core launch materials
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Demonstrated ability to engage external thought leaders to generate actionable strategic insights
• Deep understanding of the R&D process
• Strong business acumen, including forecasting inputs, tactical planning, and performance assessment
• Demonstrated knowledge of country-level operations and customer interfaces
• Recent oncology launch experience
• Marketing experience with Multiple Myeloma
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Enterprise thinking
• Ability to drive innovative thinking across geographies
• Ability to influence across functions and geographies while demonstrating cultural sensitivity
• Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to turn analysis into insight and action.
